With over 30 years experience, Bella West founder Valerie Orcutt embodies a strong and fearless entrepreneurial spirit.

A native of California, Valerie opened Bella West July 1, 2003. She has a passion for design and hospitality and it shows the moment you walk in the door, its sleek modern design with old world touches, truly sets it apart from the competition. In 2016 Valerie had the opportunity to expand, she added 13 private studios, to occupy the whole building with private parking and a beautiful outdoor garden. Bella West is in the heart of downtown Lancaster.

Valerie just retired from behind the chair after 30 years, she is so thankful for the opportunity to grow with the support of her clients. There is no other job in the world that can compare to a hairdresser, she would not trade it for anything in the world. This career has given her the opportunity to travel all over the world looking for inspiration and experiences to bring back to Bella West. Valerie has also trained many young hairstylists over the years, and it has been a pleasure to watch them grow and prosper. She is ready to explore new creative outlets and endeavors. She is committed to supporting the 35 artists and technicians that call Bella West home, and also making sure each guest have the best experience.
